About Erin

I have an authentic and strong passion for delivering and telling stories and communicating with and informing others. I love watching, playing, and being involved with sports. This drive stems from my roots. I grew up in the suburbs North of Philadelphia. There, a fervent love for sports was instilled in me, specifically from my father and two older brothers. I spent hours in the car to and from games, where I'd listen to nothing but 97.5 "The Fanatic" and 94.1 WIP. I was captain of my high school girls' basketball team, and always knew I wanted a career in the sports field. I owe this to my strongest supporters, my family. My biggest inspiration is my oldest brother, who although passed away years ago, always encouraged me to chase my dreams.

I am currently a junior at the University of Pittsburgh in the Frederick Honors College studying Communication Rhetoric, along with a minor in Spanish Language and a certificate in Television and Broadcast Arts.

Outside of my studies, I work part-time for the University as a tour guide, while also devoting time to the Broadcasting Club as logistics chair.

I am a proud sister and officer of Theta Phi Alpha Sorority.

This past summer, I had the opportunity to participate in the SHURE-Grid fellowship at Pitt which collaborates with the Swanson School of Engineering and Idaho National Laboratory (INL). I was able to help educate others on CIE principles as they relate to critical infrastructure by putting together educational videos that told the story of my fellowship group's work, focuses, projects, and solutions, as well as anchoring and reporting on real-world cyberattack scenarios.

I previously held the roles of anchor, Pitt sports reporter, Pitt beat reporter, regional campus reporter, and Pitt news producer for Pitt to the Point, Pitt's first hour-long news broadcast. I was also one of the lead hosts of KDKA's Next Take, commercial radio's first show hosted by college students.
